Hi, I'm Yaalini Lakhani — a Computer Science student on the Machine Learning track at the University of Maryland, College Park. I graduated high school early at 16 after skipping freshman year to attend the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA), Illinois' top-ranked public high school for STEM. My experience at IMSA taught me how to approach challenging material, think independently, and learn at a fast pace. Machine learning, at its core, is about teaching a system to recognize patterns and make sense of complexity. It turns out that's not so different from what I've been doing since high school: helping students find the pattern in a subject that once felt like noise, until suddenly it clicks.

Hi, I'm Jediael Chintha — a current medical student in the University of Missouri-Kansas City's six-year BA/MD program. I graduated high school early at 17 after skipping freshman year to attend the Illinois Mathematics and Science Academy (IMSA), Illinois' top-ranked public high school for STEM. My experience there taught me how to study smarter, think critically, and stay confident when the material gets challenging. Getting to medical school meant developing exactly the skills I now help my students build: breaking down difficult subjects, learning efficiently, and turning concepts that once felt overwhelming into ones that actually make sense.
We believe every student learns differently. Our personalized, encouraging approach helps students build confidence while achieving meaningful academic success.
Before the first real lesson, we assess where a student's understanding actually is — not just their grade, but which specific concepts are solid and which are shaky. This becomes the roadmap for the sessions that follow.
Timed drills and shortcuts come after a student can explain why something works, not before. We use active recall and spaced review, not passive re-reading. Students are regularly asked to solve problems and explain concepts without looking at notes, and previously covered material is revisited on a schedule so it sticks long-term instead of fading after the test.
We tailor materials to the student's actual class, using their textbook, syllabus, and teacher's own problem sets whenever possible, supplemented with our own practice sets when more repetition is needed.
We track progress with real data — practice quiz scores, error patterns, and concept checklists — so parents get concrete updates, not vague "doing well!" summaries.

We can't ethically guarantee a specific grade or score, since results depend on factors outside any tutor's control — a student's effort between sessions, their starting point, and outside circumstances all play a role. What we can promise is a genuinely personalized process: real diagnostic work up front, tailored instruction, and consistent progress tracking, so improvement is the expected outcome even though we can't put an exact number on it in advance.
The biggest difference is personalization. We don't run students through generic worksheets or a fixed script — we diagnose exactly where a student's understanding breaks down and build tutoring around that specific gap, adjusting our teaching style to how that individual student actually learns best.
Yes, whenever possible. Consistency matters — a tutor who already knows your student's strengths, gaps, and learning style can move faster and more effectively than starting fresh each time.
No long-term contract required. We understand needs change, and we're happy to talk through pausing or adjusting your plan as circumstances shift. For individual sessions, we just ask for reasonable advance notice to cancel or reschedule so we can offer that time to another family.
